Instrument Hire

Instrument Hire Form

At Brigidine College, private music tuition is available on various instruments. A limited number of instruments are available for hire by applying to the Director of Arts. These include the violin, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, french horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba. The cost of hiring an instrument is $200 per year, which covers the cost of a service at the end of the year plus wear and tear on the instrument. In order to hire this instrument both pages of the form must be completed, and payment must be made before the student receives the instrument.

  • Conditions of Hire - I acknowledge that the above instrument remains the property of Brigidine College, Indooroopilly and is hired to the student subject to the following conditions: a) The instrument should be used only by the student to whom it is hired and by no other person. b) Every care and attention should be given to the instrument during the period of hire. c) The instrument is returnable upon request at any time for inspection, repair, adjustment, etc. d) Loss or damage (above normal wear and tear) of any hired school instrument should be immediately reported to the school, and costs will be incurred by the parent/student for repair or replacement. e) The instrument should be returned to the school at the end of the year for annual servicing and repairs. f) Certain accessories (e.g. strings) will be replaced at the cost of the student/parent. I authorize the student to accept the hire of the instrument described above and I agree to undertake reasonable supervision of its use. I further agree to the conditions of the hire as stated above. I agree to accept financial responsibility for loss or damage to the instrument while on hire from the school.
