Young women who start their Brisbane high school journey at Brigidine College experience something truly special.

In recognition of the momentous change from Primary to Secondary School, and their journey from being girls to becoming young women, our students start their schooling at Brigidine with a Solas Bhride (Light of St Brigid) Wellbeing and development program. Our Solas Bhride experiences, perhaps more than anything else, shape who girls become and what they are capable of in the future.

In Year 7, our young women start the school year on a retreat to help them transition to Middle School. During this time, students learn about the importance of belonging, making friends and how to be a good friend. They also cover personal and online safety.

Tailored Schooling

On their return they discover our tailored school environment. Brigidine College has a specialised Middle School (Years 7 – 9) with stimulating and contemporary facilities, specifically designed for young adolescent girls to cater for their nurturing and developmental needs.

Impressive Results

Our Year 7 and 9 NAPLAN results are consistently 96-100% above national standard, an indication of our students’ engagement with teachers and their studies and the power of their first Solas Bhride experience and the passion of our teachers.
