Melissa Dever

Deputy Principal

Having worked for over 25 years in Queensland Catholic Education in both regional and Brisbane-based schools, as well as in the United Kingdom, with over 20 of those years working in girls’ schools, I am passionate about educating young women to know that they have an opportunity to have a voice and make a difference in the world.

With a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) and Masters of Education (Leadership and Management), I have held roles as both Curriculum and Pastoral middle leaders, Senior School Coordinator and, for the past 14 years have held the role of Deputy Principal, Curriculum.

I am involved in several Professional educational committees including: the Business Educators Association of Queensland (BEAQ), Association of Catholic Secondary Schools – Assistant Principal/Deputy Principal (ACSSQ DP/AP) Committee, Queensland Catholic Education Council (QCEC) Education Reference Group.

I began my time at Brigidine as Deputy Principal, Curriculum in 2013 and embrace our college mission to engender a love of learning, hope and sense of purpose, while embodying the College values of strength and gentleness.
