Andrew Beiers
Dean of Faith and Formation
Originally trained in Primary education through the McAuley Campus of Australian Catholic University. Divergently, I then joined the Brisbane Rock n Roll Circus for a year, trained by members from the Flying Fruit Flies of Albury Wondonga. This assisted me with juggling complex situations and keeping an open mindset in the future.
I worked within Brisbane Catholic Education for a number of years before embarking on a journey into Youth Coordination in the Archdiocese of Brisbane through BCE. Later I worked in the Ministry of Faith Formation. Within this role, I worked in Mission at Australian Catholic University where I was involved with lecturing and the organisation of Youth rallies, World Youth Day celebrations, and Mary Mackillop’s canonisation in 2010. This led to working with the Sisters of Mercy for their 150 year celebrations, and then to working in the Vocations office for Brisbane Archdiocese before taking up the opportunity of Deputy Principal, Mission at Brigidine college in 2012 (now the Dean of Faith and Formation).
The diversity of learning in these different forums has led me to see the wonderful contribution that Brigidine college makes to young women’s education in Brisbane, valuing the gifts and dignity of each student.
